The City of Franklin manages the water, sewer and sanitation services for residents and businesses within the City. The Water quality is rated as “Superior” by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Water and Sewer Rates
- Residential – 1st 2,000 gallons $15.00 for water, $17.00 for sewer. Per 1,000 gallons after the 1st 2,000 gallons $2.00 water and $1.00 for sewer
- Commercial - $12.00 per thousand gallons
- Water tap - $400.00
- Sewer tap - $400.00
To establish service within the City of Franklin, you must complete an application and service agreement at City Hall and we require a $150 deposit to begin your service.
- Inside city limits - $15.00 monthly
The regular garbage service is for household garbage only. All garbage must be bagged (no loose trash will be picked up). Bags of leaves, limbs and brush cannot be picked up with regular household garbage.
Garbage pick up is: North side of town on Monday’s and Thursday’s. South side of town on Tuesday’s and Friday’s. In the event of a holiday on a trash pickup day, the trash on that side of town will not be picked up until the next regular scheduled pick up day.
The City of Franklin provides a limb pick up only as time permits. This limb pick up is not for large trees but limbs, leaves and other brush that cannot be picked up with regular household garbage.
The City of Franklin accepts payments for water, sewer and garbage at City Hall located at 319 Bremond Street or via mail to P.O. Box 428, Franklin, TX 77856. Payment due date is the 16th of each month. After the 16th, a late fee of 10% will be added to your bill. If the bill is not paid by the 26th of the month, service will be disconnected and a reconnection fee of $25.00 will be charged.
